Tick-tock

Tick-tock is the sound a clock makes.
Beyond the regular meaning, the tick-tock sound reminds me of the essence of time. Each time I hear the sound, I know that my time is counting and I need to do the needful.

I remember a short poem we sing back in the day when we were still much younger. It goes this:

Tick-tock says the clock,
What you have to do,
Do it quick.

The poem reminds us to make ample use of our time before the opportunity we have slip away.
