Hi Steemit friends, how are you all? I hope everyone is well. I am also well by the grace of Allah. I am here to participate in another competition of the Hindhoel community. The Hindhoel community is a very big platform. I am very happy to work here. @jyoti-thelight organized today's competition. Today's competition is called, "HWC Competition #137 Week 7: "Let's get creative". So, without further ado, let's get down to business. Today I will show you how to make a lehenga by cutting and stitching a saree.
The things I will need to do this are-

Material's
✍️ A saree
✍️Ribbon
✍️Scissors
✍️Chalk

Now I will try to explain how to make a lehenga by cutting and stitching a saree step by step in a very beautiful way.

First I will take the correct measurements of a person. Then I will take the measurements of the petticoat and the coat of the lehenga.

Now I will first take the measurements of the petticoat of the lehenga correctly

✍️ Waist-24"

Now I will cut according to the measurements.

✂️ Step 1 ✂️
I cut two and a half yards of cloth from a saree I took it. Now I will lay the cloth on the floor and measure 32 inches from the bottom to the top of the cloth, which is the size of the hem and 1 inch extra for sewing, which will go inside the waistband. I will cut the cloth for the waistband 5 inches wide and 28 inches long.

✂️ Step 2 ✂️
In this step, I will take the measurements of the above coat.
✍️ Hem-18 inches
✍️ Body-24 inches
✍️ Chest-23 inches
✍️ Waist-24 inches
✍️ Sleeves-7 inches
✍️ Sleeves-7 inches

Now I will cut the coats according to these measurements.

✂️ Step 3 ✂️
In this step, I will lay the cloth on the floor well, then draw marks on the cloth according to the measurements. First I will take the neck of the putt 5 inches and take the neck 2 inches, take the armpit 5 inches, the main body 24 inches plus 3 inches more and take 1 inch more for sewing.
Finally, I will take 23 inches plus 2 inches and one inch for sewing. Now I will take the waist 24 inches plus 3 inches one inch for sewing. Now my waist cutting is complete.

✂️ Fourth step ✂️
Now I will cut the sleeves. I will take the sleeve length 7 inches and take the cuff 7 inches, draw it well with chalk and then I will cut the sleeves. Now the petticoat and waist cutting of our lehenga are complete.

✂️ Fifth step ✂️
Now I went to the sewing machine to make the lehenga and selected a thread.

✂️ Sixth step ✂️
Now I sewed the open side of the fabric to make the petticoat. And I sewed the fabric step by step with a large stitch.

✂️ Seventh step ✂️
Now I will join the waist band to the waist of the petticoat. I will join the waist band on the jute and sew it to the inner jute and then I will set the elastic in the waist band. Now I will make a long rope, fill the rope in the rubber and complete the open side of the petticoat by sewing it. Now my petticoat is complete.

✂️ Eighth step ✂️
Now I will set the front neck and back neck with the collar band. I will put two ropes in the back neck. Now we will join the two parts from the neck. And according to the cutting, we will sew the body. At 16 inches, I will tie the stitch and leave a 2 inch gap on 2 sides of the koti.

✂️ Last step ✂️
Now I will sew the sleeves of the patti. Once the sleeves are sewn, I will join the sleeves with the koti. Now my koti is complete. At this stage, our lehenga is complete.

I hope I have been able to easily present the lehenga cutting and stitching with my saree to you. After seeing this cutting and stitching of mine, you can also easily cut your own saree and make lehenga at home.
