Weekly Contest - Best Diary Game | Days went well preparing for the Biggest Festival.
This week was hectic, with many house chores, cleaning, grocery shopping, and whatnot! Because we are preparing for Eid, our biggest festival.
However, I'm staying apart from my extended family for this week as we couldn't manage the time to travel back home and spend our Eid there. We are in our home in Dhaka, and we spent Eid with some relatives. The week and Eid day went pretty well.
Till last week, my son's tuition was going one. So I had to take him to his coaching center and pick him up. The weather was sweaty and hot. I don't know why this year, it's still not raining!
I usually take a local ride and do the pick and drop of my son. As before Eid, Dhaka usually gets empty, well not in that sense. But a lot less crowded. It feels nice to have a city tour during this time.
We had done a lot of grocery shopping as well as had to go to the meat market several times to prepare for Eid. Sometimes if I get fresh vegetables from a street cart I try to buy from them because they are cheap compared to the market and super shops.
Till the day before, we were fasting. The holy month has gone now. We have to wait another year to get this blessed month.
I usually try to make our 'Iftar' healthy. I avoid fried items and add protein and fruits. I wouldn't lie, I sometimes crave fried food and go for it. The last day of Ramadan went well.
The last week before Eid and there will be no shopping photos? That's not happening.
We did a good amount of shopping, not all for us but for our family members. We have been to some of the nearby markets and did some online shopping as well. The price of the products was a bit high because it's Eid time. But we had to do it anyway to put a smile on our loved one's face.
Eid can't go by without cooking a lot of comforting, traditional, and favorite food.
These are not my Eid cooking, I will share them later. But I cooked them last week for my family. There's beef curry and a chocolate cake.
Today is day two of Eid here in Bangladesh. As I'm in our home in Dhaka so have a lot of relaxed time here unlike Eid in my hometown. That's why I got the time to write this post. The Eid day as well as the last week went very well. I'm blessed that we spent our time with family, had some outdoor fun, and had a lot of good food.
