The Dracaena fragrans plant is a multi-stemmed tree that can grow up to 49 feet or even taller. This plant generally grows upright with a straight trunk. In its natural forest habitat, young plants have an unbranched stem with rosette-like leaves until the tip flowers or gets damaged. After that, it produces two or more new stems.

The leaves of this plant are glossy green and elongated. It does not have branches; instead, long leaves grow around the stem. This plant is now widely cultivated because of its unique appearance and various uses. Since it does not have outward branches, the plant remains covered with leaves all around. As it grows taller, it develops a large number of leaves, making it look very attractive.
